Characteristics

・Plain weave
This is the most basic type of weave, where warp and weft wires are woven alternately, crossing one by one and maintaining a certain interval. You can get an accurate filter rating.

・Twilled weave
This is a weaving type where warp and weft wires cross over two or more alternately, maintaining a consistent interval in the weave pattern. Twilled weave allows the use of thicker wire diameter compared to plain weave, as it has less bending depth of wires.

・Plain Dutch weave
This weave is similar to plain weave, with the only difference being that the weft wires are in contact with each other It has high strength. It is mainly used for filtlation.

・Twilled Dutch weave
This is a combination type of plain dutch and twilled weave,where the weft wires are in contact with one another and each crosses over two and more warp wires. It is mainly used for filtlation.

  For plain weave and twilled weave, the aperture size is determined by the combination of wire diameter and mesh count. Mesh' refers to the number of wires or openings counted per linear inch (25.4 mm) of wire mesh. Opening area, like aperture size,is determined by wire diameter and mesh count. They are caluculated as shown.
