What are 「Mesh」and 「Aperture Size」of wire mesh?
The number of lines between 1 inch (25.4 mm) or the number of aperture is called "mesh". Aperture size is the dimension of space between wires, 25.4mm ÷ mesh - wire diameter(mm) = aperture size(mm).

Do you have wire mesh standards?
Yes. JIS G3555 and JIS G3556. Please refer to the wire mesh specification table in the screen catalog to select the wire mesh you need. However, there is no stock of all wire mesh listed in the wire mesh comparison table, so please contact us for availability.

Please tell me open area of Plain Dutch and Twilled Dutch weave.
Flat-tatami weaving and Aya-tatami Zhijin nets have zero opening rates calculated from directly above, and must be regarded as three-dimensional voids.

Can I buy only a small amount of wire mesh?
Yes, you can. We have a large stock at our head office, so we cut it from there and sell it. Most materials, wire diameter and mesh are available, but if we do not have stock, we may ask you for minimum purchase amount.

When using it as a solid-liquid separation filter material, is it better to use the same line diameter and mesh (opening eyes) to flat weave or twill weave?
Since it depends on the usage conditions, it cannot be said unconditionally. Please contact us for more information.

Basically, Twilled weave is slightly inferior in accuracy of aperture size and stability of wire position than Plain weave, but it is excellent in fluid resistance(small pressure drop), flatness of surface and easiness of washing. In addition, Twilled weave is more mainstream than Plain weave, based on 250mesh or more. -
If I laminate two 100 mesh sheets, Filter rating will be equivalent to 200 mesh?
No, it will not. The pressure drop is about double, but filter rating is not much different.

What is the smallest filter rating of metal filter you can supply?
For solid spherical particle, nominal filter rating is 2μm in sintered wire mesh and absolute firter rating is 1μm in Bekipore®.

How can I prevent the wire mesh clogging?
Measures vary depending on the form of clogging (single clogging, collective clogging, adhesion clogging, etc.).
Single clogged…For one mesh, particles close to the size of the mesh are clogged so as to stick. It has a network wire and 3 to 4 contact points, making it the most difficult to remove.
Clogged…Particles smaller than the mesh gather and push each other for one mesh.
Adhesive clogging…It is clogged with particles attached.

Our wire mesh has broken earlier than usual. What is the cause?
There are various damage factors, so please contact us for details. In general, the three major causes of wire mesh damage are (1) fatigue destruction, (2) wear, and (3) corrosion. Of these (1) is the most likely, and this possibility is high if the wire is detroyed(brittle fructure) without getting thinner or discoloring.

Can I wash metal filter?
It is not all cases, but it can be washed.
There are various washing methods such as physical methods and chemical methods, and it is necessary to consider individually which method is suitable. After washing, it is essential to check recovery rates and if there are pin-holes or not.

Which is better when comparing Durmalloy with other magnetic mesh in strength and magnetic attraction?
You can check our internal test results in the screen catalogue. However, as for magnetic attraction, it depends on capacity of collection equipment whether or not KMG mesh pieces can be detected. So we recommend that you first check the effect by testing.

What kind of lineup do you have for Durmalloy and KNM21?
Weaving is possible up to φ0.025 x 400mesh in Durmalloy and φ0.1 x 100mesh in KNM21. For more information, please contact the sales representative.

Wire mesh will not peel off from Bonmesh?
The wire( or wires and perforated plate ) are sintered at the intersection, so there is basically no need to worry about peeling off.

Is cartridge filter compatible with other companies?
Beaically it is, but we will check it with your drawing of housing and other infomration just in case.

What is the smallest hole diameter of SCP?
The minimum is φ0.1mm.

What is thickness of one plate( etching sheet that constitutes SCP ) of SCP?
Basically, if the size of the hole is φ0.1 mm, it will be about the same thickness as the hole diameter, such as a plate thickness of 0.1 mm.

Can you design and produce housing as well?
We can handle everything from housing design to production, but depending on the conditions, we may not be able to respond. First, please inform the sales representative of operating conditions.

Can I use different material for chain and belt? Also, do you have a belt type which you can not attach with chain?
It is possible to use different material for chain and belt. Example: Chain: Iron, belt: SUS304。 The belt type that cannot be attached with a chain is LR, LF2, FW, BL, R1, DDK2. Other than these, it may not be suitable depending on the terms of use, so please contact us for details.

I'm using a mesh belt with a chain. Can I replace it with DDK2? If so, would it be necessary to modify the conveyor?
Yes, there is possibility. It has the advantage of eliminating the dead space of the chain. Please contact us as it is usually necessary to modify the equipment.

Is LF2 dedicated to Spiral Towers? Is it possible to use the same as belt with chain? (If possible, please tell me the advantages and disadvantages of belt with chain and LF2 .)
LF2 is basically exclusively for Spiral Towers. It is possible to drive LF2 with sprockets like a belt with chain for straight running, but since there is no roller and it will drag on rails, it is recommended to use a belt with chain at the point of wear.

Our wire conveyor belt has been damaged by a handling mistake. Is it possible to exchange only some parts? Can I buy a belt and exchange it for myself?
Depending on the type of belt, it may be possible. We can judge if you allow us to see the actual belt.
